No Rangers Reported Dead

3 Nov 2008 Filed under (Rangers) by Diddy @ 4:56 pm

There is still a lot of confusion and misinformation regarding our Rangers who were at Rumangabo HQ 8 days ago who we have not yet managed to locate. Some remained at Rumangabo, some fled to Goma, and some traveled north towards Rutshuru and Kiwanja.

While we continue to compile this information, the good news is that we have had no reports of Ranger fatalities. Considering what happened last week this is a huge relief.

Rangers at Bikenge patrol post some months ago

I will keep you posted on the Rangers as I receive the news. Alphonse Banyurwa just turned up this morning, having traveled by bicycle from Rumangabo. It was good to see him and hear the updates of the Rangers up there. He thinks there are about 20, but we need to double check this.

Thank you for your donations. The money gets on the ground within a matter of days - so you are having a huge impact, each and every one of you, and I thank you for contributing to this important appeal.
