More Snares Found in Gorilla Habitat
We haven’t had any luck yet in finding Munyaga, but we are finding a lot of snares in this area of the Gorilla Sector. It is clear that local poachers have taken advantage of our absence during 2008 and laid out hundreds of snares to catch antelope and buffalo. These snares are a terrible threat to the mountain gorillas and we will continue to search and destroy them.

Wow! What an adventure…. to wander in to that vastness. We are so grateful you’re there to dismantle those horrid snares! (So are the Gorillas).
