Congratulations to all concerned, not just the five worthy recipients but also the rest of the team at Virunga. Grassroots conservation is the key to sustainable development and the Virunga program/philosophy is an outstanding example of best practice. Great to see it recognised as such by the Abraham Foundation.

Congratulations to the worthy recipients! I am thrilled to see these dedicated people getting recognized for their dedication. Many thanks to the Abraham Foundation for these well deserved awards and donation. I hope this award brings Ranger Kalibumba’s widow some comfort in her time of grief.
