We found the Kabirizi family this morning without too many problems, but it was not so easy to to get near the female Mahisho, who was being closely protected by the silverback Kabirizi.
However, at one moment he was distracted and I got close enough to take the following pictures of the new arrival. I can’t tell if it is a boy or a girl yet, but it cannot be more than 2 days old:

Its hard to imagine that something so tiny could grow so big!!! I think that’s the cutest baby gorilla i have seen! Quite adorable!!! We await the “jina” (name)!

What an adorable little gorilla baby.. She/he looks so content having mummy’s protecting arms around her/him.
It’s quite comforting to see that life goes on and these gorillas have been able to cope despite all the unrest around them.
