As most of you know, last weekend we sent three confiscated chimpanzees to the J.A.C.K Sanctuary in Lumumbashi. A video and pictures of their arrival have been posted on their blog, where you can also donate money towards the chimps’ long-term care.
Katya also filmed the chimps in Goma as they prepared for the long flight- note the skill with which Thierry walks with two chimps in his arms and another attached to his leg!

This may take some time…

Pierre, no words can describe this video!!!!! Brenton.
More good news is always welcome. Thanks for this arrival report. I did, indeed, notice how gently and calmly Thierry managed to balance and comfort the three chimps at once. Love and gratitude to you all!
Kill me with cuteness! So good to see these little guys safe and sound. Thanks for the great video, Pierre.
Hey, Pierre! Please tell Katya that I love his video: the relationship between Thierry and the chimps is lovely to watch. Where is the music from? Iris
Amazing video! Thank you! Thierry is a human tree : ) The chimps are very smitten with him. It is so wonderful to see the chimps healing from their trauma because of the love and devotion all of you have given them. Thank you!
Wonderful video. The music is amazing
But still is sad the fact that this babies has been deprived of their families and now they need all the devotion and care from their human caretakers until they will grow enough to, maybe, come back to the wild.
They are absolutely adorable.
Thanks to Thierry!

They look so cute holding on to him. I’m happy he and Faustin were there to reassure and comfort them after their traumatic ordeal. Thank you so much to you all for your love and devotion to animals.
Oh, it’s great to see them looking so calm and content after all they’ve been through. Thanks for posting the information and the video.
I spoke to Franck at J.A.C.K. yesterday and all the babies are doing fine. Sadly Faustin’s father has passed away and Faustin is the oldest of the family so he needs to come straight back to Goma to take care of his siblings. We are trying to get him on a flight for tomorrow.
Samantha, please tell Faustin he has my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of his father. Thank you, Iris
Samantha, Please convey my condolences to Faustin on the loss of his father. Let him know he is my prayers. May God’s love comfort him in his time of grief.
The video is wonderful, an expression of love. What is the music, please? It’s great.
thank you so much for your appreciation!!!!! the music used in the video is by lokua kanza(Congolese artist).
