We would like to adopt your used camera.
Why?
Work must be documented. Poaching and arrests must be verified with photos. Rangers who monitor the gorillas must take photos for documentation (and to show our supporters, of course).
The park is huge with sectors spread out through difficult terrain, and it’s a long, rough trip by road or boat to reach the larger stations. Over time, cameras get damaged, lost, or stolen, and we are down to the bare minimum without the funds to restock. Although we need cameras, it is not at the top of the priority list for how we spend money.
I know from personal experience that I upgrade often, and that used camera, which is perfectly good, sits in a closet, alone and sad and unused.
If you have such a camera, and are willing to part with it, we would love to adopt these neglected lonely cameras and put them to good use. You would be helping us immensely, at just the cost of postage for you.
Please send me an email at info@gorilla.cd if you would like to donate a camera for the work of Virunga National Park. I will send you an address where it can be mailed. We have a person in the US and the UK who can hand-carry them to Congo, so let me know which location is best for you.
Thanks for your support!

Would a camera with the use of film rolls do? I still have one somewhere somewhere (would have to look for it) and last time used as a 2nd camera when visiting Bwindi. Please let me know.
pls let us know the mailing addresses. I should manage to send something.
