Yesterday outside of Goma the park staff got down to work building the tent frames and covering them with plastic for the ranger families who evacuated on Sunday. No metal poles here. The frames are made from purchased wooden sticks, cut and nailed together. The latrine and shower rooms were completed late at night. It was a long day for everyone trying to get settled into their new “homes”, not knowing how long they will be staying. Here are some pictures from Monday.
